Bonfire Night is fast approaching so it's time to think about digging out the wellies, wrapping up warm and visiting your local bonfire and fireworks display. Some events have a separate children’s (low noise) display – well worth tracking down for younger visitors!
Matlock Bath Illuminations and Fireworks Display Sat 29 Oct

Alton Towers Resort Fireworks Extravaganza 4-6 Nov Celebrate the end of the Theme Park season with the ultimate Fireworks Event at the Alton Towers Resort. Fireworks at Markeaton Park Sat 5 Nov from 2pm
Come along to Derby’s biggest and best fireworks display. With Capital FM, a funfair and hot food stalls. Funfair from 2pm, stage entertainment from 4.45pm and fireworks at 6pm. Bonfire and Fireworks at Chatsworth Sat 5 Nov Gates open 6.30pm Fireworks 8pm
With a reputation for putting on one of the most spectacular fireworks displays around, 2011's celebration is set to be more popular than ever with a breathtaking display, huge bonfire and some fantastic live entertainment. Fireworks Evening at Midland Railway – Butterley Sat 5 Nov 5.30pm onwards
The shuttle train will run between 5.30pm to 7.15pm from Butterley to Swanwick, where you will have a grandstand view of the magnificent firework display with music which starts at 7.30pm. A return service will be available after the end of the display.
